Among the most widespread beliefs in this regard is the belief according to which the expected time for a move is about a week. In reality it is good to distinguish, specifying that an account is the total time from the moment of the call or the first contact and an account is the actual time taken to load the furniture and take it to its destination. Except in exceptional cases, the phases of a private or corporate move are all in all always the same and include:

- operational day of packing the furniture and loading it on the van
- transport to the deposit or directly to the address of the new home or new company headquarters; reassembly of furniture and fittings and final cleaning.

If the preliminary contact can be resolved in a few minutes on the phone or in person on the spot, the request for permits could cause waiting times, especially in hectic periods of the year such as Christmas where the municipalities and reference bodies that manage, for example, the access to ZTL areas are overworked or closed for holidays. Clearly the times are also linked to other factors, which in rare cases do not depend on the client or the mover.
